Battlefield 6 BR Mode Goes Live Tomorrow as a Complimentary Experience

Following quite some time of rumors, the battle royale game type for BF6 is at last launching. Last week's talk suggesting its release would happen alongside the new season were accurate. Gamers can access the gameplay starting in just a day.

Season 1 Bringing a Fresh Location, Game Type, and Arsenal

In tandem with the battle royale release, Season 1 is also kicking off. This adds a fresh location, a new mode, and an expanded arsenal. On top of that, the Redacted Sector is arriving. A embedded trailer will be released at go-live, offering players a preview of what's to come.

F2P Model Enables Redsec Available to All

Possibly the key detail is that Battlefield Redsec will be F2P. Similar to established titles, you do not need to purchase the main title to play. A number of players have earlier tested early versions of the mode. Those tests were run in a collaborative space, which the team described as their biggest player partnership initiative.

The adrenaline rush during encounters with enemy players is unique in different BR game. It feels life or death, and you actually care if you die or survive.
Even though I considered myself a critic earlier, I'm fully a fan of the BR mode after playing it.

Such initial reactions from participants have been extremely encouraging. Of course, the experience may have been adjusted over the last month or two in terms of balancing and pace. But, initial indicators are promising that the battle royale could emerge as a true alternative to established titles. Players are expecting that the best guns from the main game will also apply in the battle royale.
