During a dominant display, the English national team secured a further win against their opponents, with a number of squad members turning in standout performances throughout the game.

Starting Lineup

Dean Henderson Not a save required during the opening 45 but then tested by an opponent's curled attempt. His sliding tackle against an Albanian attacker highlighted excellent anticipation. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Challenged against Albania’s biggest threat through their forward. Operated through the middle early on then shifted out wide once Saka was introduced. 7/10

John Stones Moved into midfield when in possession, something he's known for in the past. On occasion seemed hesitant when carrying play with the tactic discontinued at half-time. 6/10

Dan Burn Always dangerous on corners and free-kicks, per usual, but may be a replacement to his teammate at the back as opposed to his partner. One wayward ball in the second half came close to the first goal from the visitors. 6/10

The young full-back Another confident display from the 20-year-old after his debut against another side. Saka did not capitalize on full advantage of an exquisite touch behind the Albania defence. The left-back spot is his to lose so soon. 7/10

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning for his country. A bit sloppy when playing out however his whipped deliveries were a threat. An effective tempo-setter available to the boss to call upon versus sides that sit back. Booked for a rash tackle. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries on corner kicks and free-kicks caused problems. Had room to roam down the left flank but was offside when the ball arrived in front of goal. Awarded a deserved rest on the hour mark. Six

Jude Bellingham Operated in a forward role on the right while also did plenty of defensive duties. Showed glimpses of brilliance and scuffed a shot over. Withdrawn towards the end for a teammate, his competition, after receiving a caution. 7/10

The winger Was presented with England’s top opening in the opening period, his effort excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate hanging back, he was forced to provide width down the right side yet his deliveries into the box were hit and miss. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. 6

The captain The difference-maker scoring two more strikes in an England shirt. His first a classic poacher’s finish while the second an excellent headed goal following a clever run off his defender. Aged 32, he’s only getting better and the side are strong contenders in future competitions when he's in the team. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Struggled to influence play out wide. Had a decent opportunity after being played in by the midfielder however Strakosha kept it out. Rashford made much more of an impact in his place. 5

• Foden (replacing Rice on 63 minutes) Was bright and linked up well with Kane in a natural spot, 6
• Saka (for the winger 63) Missed opportunities but his corner led to the first goal, 6
• Marcus Rashford (for the attacker 75) Energetic upon introduction and provided Kane’s second via an excellent ball to the back post, Seven
• Anderson (on for Wharton in the 75th minute) Looks established so soon, Six
• Morgan Rogers (replacing the star with minutes remaining) Too brief a spell to make an impact, 6/10
