This marks the concluding text I will compose ahead of two possible developments: we make it to Gaza, or Israel seizes our ship. We hope to get there around October 9th, having been navigating the seas since September 27th.

Earlier this month featured Israeli forces apprehending the crew members from the initial Global Sumud flotilla the night prior to planned landing. This appears to be the comparable stage that Israel might try to capture our boats belonging to our humanitarian mission.

Journeying During Dangerous Conditions

Our follow-up mission has continued sailing amid numerous accounts concerning the fate of the initial participants. When we were off Cyprus, organizing evening shifts under the shadow of a mysterious flying object, we received news about Israel's unlawful seizure the two main Sumud boats in international waters.

Subsequent sunrise presented concerning updates during my regular activities: cleaning reusable containers in the small sink, reviewing communications repeatedly while Israel progressively captured the additional aid vessels.

This development has only strengthened our shared resolve to continue our mission.

Living Conditions Aboard

At this journey point, I've established a routine. My sleep schedule involves resting between evening and early morning, then working night watch until dawn approaches, securing additional rest afterwards for a total of five hours. More sleep proves impossible between turbulent waves and constant interruptions from shared accommodation.

My sleeping arrangement consists of a thin padding located atop the common furniture in the shared space. Each morning I dress inside my sleeping bag during morning beverage preparation in close proximity. Various elements of shared living alongside six fellow activists aboard a compact boat require significant adaptation.

• You cannot remain stationary anywhere for extended periods without inconvencing companions.
• Notwithstanding these difficulties, we share strong camaraderie.
• Our common objective helps combined with our navigators' experience.
• Their professional knowledge generates spreading tranquility.

The Operation's Goal

The therapeutic resources and infant nutrition products stored in the stern cabin and navigation space of our boat potentially rescue countless people provided we complete our mission. During a recent interview, someone suggested they viewed our mission as symbolic since interception seemed inevitable.

Viewed from afar, this understanding could appear reasonable. But, subsequent to traveling for over a week with assistance materials everywhere around you, aware of its exact placement, maintaining hope becomes essential for reaching those in need.

Expanding Beyond Assistance

But, distributing resources does not represent the mission's final objective. Officials often question why we don't simply permit them distribute our supplies. Beyond reasonable distrust about whether distribution would occur during sustained barriers, accepting such arrangements would implicitly acknowledge dominion regarding coastal areas.

Concerning Updates

Recent information revealed concerning the initial activists: their transfer to Ktzi'ot prison, categorization as undocumented migrants notwithstanding involuntary transfer outside national jurisdiction. Reports indicated denial of fundamental requirements involving liquids, pharmaceuticals and nutrition, along with disrespectful behavior and occasional violence by detention officers.

Current numbers showed numerous mission members were removed with 138 remaining detained.

Wider Perspective

These situations seem terrible but they diminish beside to the organized brutality endured by incarcerated individuals within the same facilities. Documented cases include fatal brutality causing fatalities lacking following responsibility for involved personnel.

Rights monitoring groups have extensively recorded widespread torture practices and assault occurrences within detention centers. Despite worldwide outrage about activists' circumstances remains justified and necessary, comparable focus has been absent concerning Palestinian ordeal during years of struggle.

Morning Reflections

Daily dawn I behold the boundless blue ocean and the setting golden satellite before the next daybreak. This oceanic autonomy to navigate vast waters highlights the essential comprehension that our objective surpasses aid.

Autonomy for Palestinian people continues elusive and our own liberties will remain compromised until that freedom is attained. This basic principle illuminates our ongoing journey. The logic remains simple.
